Soluble in water, ethanol and amyl alcohol. Hexahydrate is colorless hexagonal crystal or white crystalline powder. Soluble in water, methanol and ethanol. Slightly soluble in acetone. Insoluble in ether. It has deliquescence. When heated to 180 ℃, it loses crystalline water and becomes anhydrous.
