Strontium chromate, an inorganic compound, is a yellow crystalline powder, soluble in hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid, ammonium salt, and slightly soluble in water. It is mainly used in the manufacture of high-temperature coatings, anti-rust primer for non-ferrous metals, coloring of plastics and rubber and various color matching, and also in the glass, ceramic and ink industries. Due to its high thermal stability, it can be used in the aviation industry to achieve good corrosion resistance under severe climate change and high surface temperature.
